CCI nod to Mankind Pharma acquisition by Cairnhill CIPEF and Cairnhill CGPE.

New Delhi: The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved acquisition of 11% equity shares of Mankind Pharma by global private equity firm Cairnhill CIPEF and Cairnhill CGPE.

"CCI has approved acquisition of 11% equity shares of Mankind Pharma Limited by Cairnhill CIPEF Limited and Cairnhill CGPE Limited," a tweet from competition regulator said.

The amount of the transaction is still not known. Mankind Pharma, which had a revenue of Rs 3,500 crore for 2014-15, owns contraceptive and personal care brands. The company also sells antibiotic, anti-fungal, gastro-intestinal and skin care drugs.
