C&C Constructions bags Rs 781 cr order

C&C Constructions Ltd has bagged an order valued at Rs 781 crore for a dedicated freight corridor from New Karwadiya to New Ganj Khwaja in Bihar.

MUMBAI: C&C Constructions Ltd has bagged an order valued at Rs 781 crore for a dedicated freight corridor from New Karwadiya to New Ganj Khwaja in Bihar. This work is of 105 kilometers on the Mughal-Sone section of the Eastern Corridor and has to be competed in 36 months. The project will be executed along with its joint venture partner M/s BSCPL Infrastructure Ltd who is equal partner in this contract.

It may be recalled this joint venture had recently bagged a contract to build the Afghan Parliament and the Indian Chancery worth $126 million in Kabul, Afghanistan and also the ADB funded order at Rs 963 crore that to be executed in Bhiar.

The company with its joint venture partner M/s BSCPL Infrastructure Ltd has received orders in excess at Rs 2,378 crore during last six months. This is particularly significant in view of the general slowdown in the economy.

The company's share of orders in hand as on Nov 30, 2008 is at Rs 2,650 crore to be executed in two years.

C&C Constructions shares were up 14.23 per cent to Rs 122 on BSE.
