Camlin draws investors after company decides to offer majority holding to Kokuyo S&T Co

PE investor New Vernon is said to have picked up a small part of the equity held by one of the existing shareholders in the open market this week.

Camlin, a leading manufacturer of stationery and colour products, has been attracting fund buying after the company decided to offer a majority holding to global player Kokuyo S&T Co.

PE investor New Vernon is said to have picked up a small part of the equity held by one of the existing shareholders in the open market this week.

According to brokers, institutional investors are seen betting high on Camlin after the Japanese company agreed to pay attractive premium over the market price to buy the controlling stake. Camlin has moved up steadily by 3% in July to close at 73.9 on Friday.
