Buzzing stocks: YES Bank, Suzlon Energy, HDFC Bank, Maruti Suzuki

NEW DELHI: YES Bank with over 0.94 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Friday.

Shares of Suzlon Energy (number of shares traded: 0.18 crore), Ballarpur Industries (number of shares traded: 0.17 crore), NMDC (number of shares traded: 0.12 crore), Karuturi Global (number of shares traded: 0.09 crore), Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 0.08 crore), Tata Motors (number of shares traded: 0.07 crore), Reliance Comm (number of shares traded: 0.07 crore), Hexa Tradex (number of shares traded: 0.07 crore) and SAIL (number of shares traded: 0.06 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE.

YES Bank (Rs 45.98 crore) was also leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.


It was followed by HDFC Bank (Rs 24.55 crore), Maruti Suzuki (Rs 23.99 crore), HDFC (Rs 22.85 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 21.18 crore), ZEEL (Rs 15.88 crore), ITC (Rs 13.31 crore) , SBI (Rs 11.96 crore), NMDC (Rs 11.61 crore) and Axis Bank (Rs 11.33 crore).

The NSE Nifty index was trading 47.95 points down at 11,523.25 while the BSE Sensex was down 139.67 points at 38,850.07 around 09:16 am.

In the Nifty index, NTPC (up 1.67 per cent), Indian Oil Corporation (up 0.76 per cent), Infosys (up 0.73 per cent), ITC (up 0.48 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki India (up 0.44 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While YES Bank (down 4.11 per cent), Tata Motors (down 2.29 per cent), Indiabulls Housing Finance (down 1.84 per cent), GAIL (India) (down 1.60 per cent) and Vedanta (down 1.48 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
