Buzzing stocks: YES Bank, HDFC, RIL, Tata Steel
The NSE Nifty index was trading 45.7 points up at 10,994.

Shares of YES Bank (number of shares traded: 0.15 crore) , Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 0.14 crore), Dhanlaxmi Bank (number of shares traded: 0.10 crore) , Sintex Plastics Technology (number of shares traded: 0.07 crore), GRUH Finance (number of shares traded: 0.07 crore) , Tata Motors (number of shares traded: 0.06 crore) , MVL Ltd (number of shares traded: 0.06 crore) , Gayatri Highways (number of shares traded: 0.05 crore) and Astron Paper & Board Mill (number of shares traded: 0.05 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE.
GRUH Finance (Rs 17.46 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.
It was followed by HDFC (Rs 14.61 crore), HDFC Bank (Rs 11.50 crore), RIL (Rs 10.93 crore), Tata Steel (Rs 10.80 crore), Arvind Fashions (Rs 10.42 crore), YES Bank (Rs 8.52 crore), Tata Motors (Rs 7.06 crore), Indiabulls Housing Finance (Rs 6.84 crore) and SBI (Rs 6.80 crore).
The NSE Nifty index was trading 45.7 points up at 10994.0 , while BSE Sensex was up 145.42 points at 37214.35 around 09:16 am.
In the Nifty index, Tata Steel (up 2.31 per cent) , Vedanta (up 2.17 per cent) , JSW Steel (up 1.75 per cent) , Hindalco Industries (up 1.28 per cent) and Bharti Airtel (up 1.28 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (down 1.02 per cent) , Bharti Infratel (down 0.66 per cent) , NTPC (down 0.37 per cent) , HCL Technologies (down 0.33 per cent) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation (down 0.32 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
