Buzzing stocks: Vodafone Idea,Tata Motors, YES Bank, Elgi Equipments

NEW DELHI: Nagarjuna Oil Refinery with over 0.20 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Thursday.

Shares of Cerebra Integrated Technologies (number of shares traded: 0.12 crore), Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 0.09 crore), Tata Motors (number of shares traded: 0.08 crore), Elgi Equipments (number of shares traded: 0.06 crore), YES Bank (number of shares traded: 0.06 crore), Gokul Refoils (number of shares traded: 0.05 crore), Suzlon Energy (number of shares traded: 0.04 crore), Jet Airways (number of shares traded: 0.04 crore) and SITI Networks (number of shares traded: 0.03 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE.

Elgi Equipments (Rs 17.29 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.


It was followed by Fortis Healthcare (Rs 5.29 crore), Metropolis Healthcare (Rs 4.98 crore), Orient Electric (Rs 4.49 crore), Zydus Wellness (Rs 4.41 crore), Vardhman Textiles (Rs 3.64 crore), Tata Global Beverages (Rs 3.18 crore), Cerebra Integrated Technologies (Rs 2.96 crore), Goldiam International (Rs 2.94 crore) and TCNS Clothing (Rs 2.84 crore).

The NSE Nifty index was trading 13.70 points up at 11,170.70 while the BSE Sensex was up 57.84 points at 37,172.72 around 09:17 am.

In the Nifty index, Tata Motors (up 4.28 per cent), YES Bank (up 1.71 per cent), JSW Steel (up 1.01 per cent), Tata Steel (up 0.84 per cent) and Zee Entertainment Enterprises (up 0.82 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Bharat Petroleum Corporation (down 1.70 per cent), Indiabulls Housing Finance (down 1.43 per cent), Indian Oil Corporation (down 1.27 per cent), IndusInd Bank (down 0.86 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 0.69 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
