Buzzing stocks: Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, SBI, IndusInd Bank

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea with over 11.20 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Tuesday.

Shares of YES Bank (number of shares traded: 2.87 crore), TV18 Broadcast (number of shares traded: 2.01 crore), NCC (number of shares traded: 0.63 crore), SBI (number of shares traded: 0.49 crore), BHEL (number of shares traded: 0.46 crore), Tata Motors (number of shares traded: 0.37 crore), Ibull HousingFin (number of shares traded: 0.28 crore), SAIL (number of shares traded: 0.26 crore) and JP Associates (number of shares traded: 0.25 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE.

SBI (Rs 151.92 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.


It was followed by IndusInd Bank (Rs 130.44 crore), Muthoot Finance (Rs 122.54 crore), YES Bank (Rs 98.48 crore), Indiabulls Housing Fin (Rs 80.89 crore), LIC Housing Fin (Rs 80.40 crore), Bharti Airtel (Rs 79.92 crore), RIL (Rs 74.94 crore), Avenue Supermarts Ltd. (Rs 66.25 crore) and Tata Motors (Rs 60.11 crore).

The NSE Nifty index was trading 75.50 points down at 11,970.30, while the BSE Sensex was down 226.90 points at 40,828.79 around 09:30 am.

In the Nifty index, Zee Entertainment Enterprises (up 1.00 per cent), Tech Mahindra (up 0.56 per cent), Cipla (up 0.27 per cent), GAIL (India) (up 0.21 per cent) and HCL Technologies (up 0.11 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While YES Bank (down 5.11 per cent), IndusInd Bank (down 2.36 per cent), Hindalco Industries (down 1.92 per cent), Bharti Infratel (down 1.79 per cent) and Tata Steel (down 1.65 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
