Buzzing stocks: Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, RIL, HUL

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea with over 8.62 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Monday.

Shares of Tata Motors (number of shares traded: 2.98 crore), IDFC First Bank (number of shares traded: 1.22 crore), Vedanta (number of shares traded: 1.19 crore), SBI (number of shares traded: 1.17 crore), Ashok Leyland (number of shares traded: 1.11 crore), Reliance Power (number of shares traded: 1.06 crore), ICICI Bank (number of shares traded: 0.95 crore), Axis Bank (number of shares traded: 0.91 crore) and RIL (number of shares traded: 0.81 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE.

RIL (Rs 1171.17 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.


It was followed by HUL (Rs 627.92 crore), Axis Bank (Rs 379.59 crore), Bajaj Finance (Rs 364.34 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 331.02 crore), HDFC Bank (Rs 324.99 crore), HDFC (Rs 282.96 crore), Tata Motors (Rs 253.14 crore), Bharti Airtel (Rs 223.15 crore) and Tech Mahindra (Rs 221.61 crore).

The NSE Nifty index was trading 459.4 points down at 9400.5 , while BSE Sensex was down 1588.51 points at 32129.11 around 09:58AM (IST).

Tata Motors (down 11.26 per cent), Hindalco Industries (down 10.29 per cent), Vedanta (down 9.99 per cent), ICICI Bank (down 9.26 per cent) and IndusInd Bank (down 9.08 per cent) were among the top losers.
