Buzzing stocks: Vodafone Idea, HDFC Bank, YES Bank, RIL

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea with over 16.25 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Tuesday.

Shares of YES Bank (number of shares traded: 4.97 crore), Tata Motors (number of shares traded: 2.04 crore), SBI (number of shares traded: 1.67 crore), Reliance Comm (number of shares traded: 1.41 crore), ONGC (number of shares traded: 1.34 crore), SAIL (number of shares traded: 1.04 crore), IDFC First Bank (number of shares traded: 0.98 crore), NCC (number of shares traded: 0.96 crore) and ICICI Bank (number of shares traded: 0.96 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE.

HDFC Bank (Rs 585.89 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.


It was followed by RIL (Rs 534.85 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 382.03 crore), SBI (Rs 376.09 crore), IndusInd Bank (Rs 369.91 crore), HDFC (Rs 292.01 crore), Axis Bank (Rs 253.69 crore), TCS (Rs 249.19 crore), Infosys (Rs 238.78 crore) and YES Bank (Rs 235.10 crore).

The NSE Nifty index was trading 153.95 points up at 9,351.35, while BSE Sensex was up 474.74 points at 31,864.81 around 10:14 am.

In the Nifty index, YES Bank (up 30.46 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (up 6.85 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (up 6.46 per cent), Coal India (up 5.49 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India (up 5.19 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Zee Entertainment Enterprises (down 5.02 per cent), Bharti Infratel (down 1.67 per cent), UPL (down 1.66 per cent), Infosys (down 0.90 per cent) and Bajaj Finserv (down 0.52 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
