Buzzing stocks: Infosys, Federal Bank,TCS, YES Bank, IndusInd Bank

NEW DELHI: Infosys with over 0.58 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Monday.

Shares of Federal Bank (number of shares traded: 0.51 crore), Vakrangee (number of shares traded: 0.50 crore), YES Bank (number of shares traded: 0.44 crore), Praj Industries (number of shares traded: 0.44 crore), GTL Infra (number of shares traded: 0.34 crore), Reliance Communications (number of shares traded: 0.28 crore), IDFC Bank (number of shares traded: 0.20 crore), JP Associates (number of shares traded: 0.20 crore) and Suzlon Energy (number of shares traded: 0.18 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE.

Infosys (Rs 408.81 crore) was also leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.


It was followed by Avenue Supermarts (Rs 110.69 crore), TCS (Rs 97.13 crore), YES Bank (Rs 81.39 crore), Praj Industries (Rs 68.15 crore), IndusInd Bank (Rs 65.83 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 48.25 crore), RIL (Rs 47 crore), Federal Bank (Rs 46.46 crore) and Axis Bank (Rs 44.66 crore).

The NSE Nifty index was trading 57.3 points down at 10,737.65, while the BSE Sensex was down 174.88 points at 35,834.96 around 09:29 am.

In the Nifty index, Infosys (up 3.20 per cent), Bharti Infratel (up 1.21 per cent), YES Bank (up 0.54 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (up 0.35 per cent) and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (up 0.26 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Vedanta (down 1.65 per cent), Axis Bank (down 1.58 per cent), JSW Steel (down 1.44 per cent), Larsen & Toubro (down 1.30 per cent) and GAIL (India) (down 1.24 per cent) were the top losers in the Nifty pack of stocks.
