MUMBAI: The Nifty extended opening gains and hit a fresh all-time high as inflows continued in the Indian markets on the back of positive cues from global markets. Banks, auto oil & gas and realty sectors were the top sectoral performers in early trade.

“After a holiday, the market will look to adjust itself with the world and its developments. Crimeans voted in a Sunday referendum with majority of them supporting breaking away from Ukraine to join Russia,” said IIFL report.

“A positive start is in the offing for the market. Fading momentum saw Nifty getting stuck in a narrow range for most part of the week. However, the increase in OI suggests that Nifty futures could attempt to touch 6,600 levels,” the report added.
