Benchmark 30-share Sensex rose 2.71 per cent or 879 points to 33,304 points , while peer 50-share Nifty gained 2.57 per cent or 246 points to 9,826 points.

>> Param Capital sold 3,45,000 shares of Jet Knitwears to Agrawal Mayank at Rs 23.67 per share.
