Bank of New York sold 102,54,269 rights entitlements of Reliance Industries at Rs 187.31 each, while Societe Generale bought 32,58,300 such entitlements at Rs 182.06 each.
Mumbai: Among the key deals on Wednesday, Bank of New York sold rights entitlements (RE) of Reliance Industries, while Societe Generale lapped up the same. Around 2.91 crore shares of rights entitlement exchanged hands in today’s trade on the NSE. On the other hand, the traded volume of RIL stood at 2.55 crore shares. RE will be traded till May 29 on the bourses.
For the day, the 30-share Sensex closed 2.06 per cent or 622.44 points higher at 30,818.61, while the 50-share Nifty climbed 2.11 per cent or 187.45 points higher to close at 9,066.55.
