BSE revises expiry day of indices

The expiry for quarterly and semi-annually contracts will also shift to the last Tuesday of the month. BSE clarified that there will be no change in the existing weekly contracts of Sensex expiring on Jan 3, 2025

The expiry for monthly contracts will be on Jan 28.
Mumbai: BSE said that it will revise the expiry day of Sensex, Bankex and Sensex 50 index derivatives contracts with effect from Jan 1. The stock exchange said that weekly contracts will expire on Tuesdays instead of Fridays while the expiry for Sensex, Bankex and Sensex50 monthly contracts will be the last Tuesday of the expiry month.

The expiry for quarterly and semi-annually contracts will also shift to the last Tuesday of the month. BSE clarified that there will be no change in the existing weekly contracts of Sensex expiring on Jan 3, 2025. The next weekly expiry after this will be on Tuesday, Jan 7. The expiry for monthly contracts will be on Jan 28.
