BSE receives 91 investor complaints in May, resolves 61

BSE said in a statement that the complaints were about non-receipt of money, non-receipt of equity shares in demat as well as physical form and besides non-receipt of debt among others.

MUMBAI: BSE today said that it received 91 investor complaints against 73 companies in May this year.

Out of this, BSE resolved 61 investors' grievances against 57 listed companies, according to a statement it issued here.

Complaints were non-receipt of money, non-receipt of equity shares in demat as well as physical form and besides non-receipt of debt among others, BSE said in a statement.

Most complaints (32) received by the bourse in May were related to non-receipt of corporate benefits or entitlements like dividend, bonus and rights form.

Of the total complaints received, 76 investor grievances were against active companies, while 15 were against suspended firms in May, this year.

Of total resolved complaints, 60 complaints against active companies were addressed and another one was against a suspended firm, while resolved complaints include those brought forward from the previous period.

Vatsa Corporation, with 1,077 complaints, had the highest number of complaints pending against it, as of May 31.

Other companies with pending investor complaints are Montari Industries (60 complaints), Arihant Industries (54), Enkay Texfoods Industries (52), Eastern Mining & Allied (49), Montari Leather (49), Mukerian Papers (44), Pentafour Products (39), Padmini Technologies (34) and Usha India (34 complaints).

Trading in securities of all these companies have been suspended, the statement said.
