Buzzing stocks:YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Tata Steel, UPL

NEW DELHI: YES Bank with over 2.80 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Monday.

Shares of Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 1.66 crore), Reliance Power (number of shares traded: 0.71 crore), SAIL (number of shares traded: 0.54 crore), Tata Steel (number of shares traded: 0.50 crore), TTML (number of shares traded: 0.41 crore), Tata Motors (number of shares traded: 0.41 crore), NTPC (number of shares traded: 0.30 crore), Indiabulls Housing Finance (number of shares traded: 0.29 crore) and GNFC (number of shares traded: 0.25 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE. Tata Steel (Rs 222.30 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.

It was followed by UPL (Rs 140.01 crore), YES Bank (Rs 111.69 crore), Ibull HousingFin (Rs 91.13 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 84.57 crore), Aurobindo Pharm (Rs 83.25 crore), Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation (Rs 76.03 crore), HDFC Bank (Rs 70.93 crore), Tata Motors (Rs 68.80 crore) and RIL (Rs 68.56 crore)


The NSE Nifty index was trading 59.45 points down at 12,038.90, while the BSE Sensex was down 181.33 points at 40,960.52 around 09:31 am.

In the Nifty index, UPL (up 2.86 per cent), YES Bank (up 2.45 per cent), Bharti Infratel (up 1.15 per cent), Cipla (up 0.53 per cent) and Bajaj Finance (up 0.34 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Tata Steel (down 4.82 per cent), Zee Entertainment Enterprises (down 2.86 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra (down 2.67 per cent), Vedanta (down 2.59 per cent) and Tata Motors (down 1.99 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
