Govt extends BPCL bid deadline; Rosneft, Aramco unlikely to bid
The government on Wednesday said that it has extended the deadline for submitting initial bids to buy state-owned Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd to Nov. 16. Rosneft and Saudi Aramco are unlikely to bid in the privatisation of Bharat Petroleum Corp, sources familiar with the matter said, as low oil prices and weak demand curb their investment plans.
