Biocon Ltd. shares rise 1.13% as Sensex climbs

Shares of the Biocon Ltd. traded at Rs 415.7 on BSE at 11:12AM (IST) on Thursday, up 1.13 per cent from previous close.

The scrip quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 212.4 and a high of Rs 455.0.

Earlier, shares of the company saw a gap up opening in the morning.


A total of 849,620 lakh shares changed hands on the counter till 11:12AM (IST).

The stock of Biocon Ltd. commands a market value of Rs 50040.0 crore.

The stock traded at a price-to-earning (P/E) multiple of 72.39, while the price-to-book value ratio stood at 6.78. Return on equity (ROE) was at 11.15 per cent, according to exchange data.

In the BSE500 pack, 376 stocks traded in the green, while 122 stocks were in the red.

Promoters held 39.75 per cent in the Biocon Ltd. as of 30-Jun-2020 while overseas and domestic institutional investors owned 15.93 per cent and 4.69 per cent, respectively.
