Biocon Ltd. shares rise 0.78% as Sensex slides

Shares of the Biocon Ltd. traded at Rs 403.0 on BSE at 11:12AM (IST) on Wednesday, up 0.78 per cent from previous close.

The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 211.3 and a high of Rs 410.35.

Earlier, shares of the company saw a gap up opening in the morning.

The stock of Biocon Ltd. commands a market value of Rs 48402.0 crore.

The stock traded at a price-to-earning (P/E) multiple of 64.69, while the price-to-book value ratio stood at 6.56. Return on equity (ROE) was at 11.15 per cent, according to exchange data.

In the BSE500 pack, 274 stocks traded in the green, while 225 stocks were in the red.

Promoters held 39.75 per cent in the Biocon Ltd. as of 31-Mar-2020 while overseas and domestic institutional investors owned 14.98 per cent and 5.13 per cent, respectively.
