BHEL board to mull share buyback on Thursday

Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) on Monday informed bourses that its board will consider the proposal for buyback of shares on Thursday.

The company informed stock exchanges post market hours. Shares of the company closed 0.20 per cent down at Rs 73.35, while the BSE Sensex ended 0.53 per cent down at 34,134.38.

In a BSE filing, the company said, “It is hereby informed that in the meeting of the board of directors of the company to be held on Thursday, October 25 to interalia, consider the unaudited financial results for and up to the quarter ended September 30, the proposal for buyback of the fully paid-up equity shares of the company will also be under consideration by the board.”
