BEML surges on strong Q4 results

MUMBAI: Shares of state-run BEML rallied nearly 10 per cent in intraday trade on Monday as the company reported over two-fold jump in net profit in quarter ended March 2015.

The company reported a net profit of Rs 169 crore, up 164 per cent, as compared to a net profit of Rs 63.9 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.

Net sales for the quarter rose to Rs 1,268 crore, up 63.8 per cent, as against Rs 774 crore, in the same period last fiscal.

BEML has recommended a dividend of Rs 1.00 per share for the year 2014-15.
