Baring PE sells 9.8% in Coforge, raises Rs 2,430 cr

Mumbai: Hong Kong-based Baring Private Equity has sold 60 lakh shares, or 9.8% stake, in software company Coforge through a block deal on Monday to raise ₹2,430 crore.

The shares were sold at ₹4,050 apiece, a 6.4% discount to Friday's price. While Nomura India Investment Fund Mother Fund bought shares worth ₹247 crore, Kuwait Investment Authority and Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund invested ₹158 crore and ₹140 crore, respectively. The rest of the buyers were unknown.
