Barak Valley Cements lists at 49% premium
Shares of Barak Valley Cements Friday listed at Rs 62.06 on the National Stock Exchange, a premium of 49.04 per cent or Rs 20.6 against the issue price of Rs 42 per share.
At 9:58 am, the share was trading at Rs 66.40, up 58.10 per cent or Rs 24.40. Traded volume was 7,19,546 shares. Barak Valley Cements raised Rs 23.52 crore from the capital markets, which it will use to part finance expansion of clinkerisation capacity, cement grinding capacity, investment in wholly owned subsidiary and setting up a 6 MW biomass based power project.
Barak Valley is a manufacturer of cements in the north-eastern region of India. It manufactures various grades of ordinary Portland cement and Portland Pozzolana cement.
The current cement manufacturing capacity of the company, including its wholly owned subsidiaries, is 760 tonne per day which will increase to 1,050 tonne per day post expansion.
