The gains were seen after the company on Tuesday launched a share sale to institutional investors to raise Rs 4,500 crore.
The company is looking to sell 26.6 million shares at Rs 1,690 each, a 5.8 per cent discount to Tuesday's close.
The scrip has more than doubled this year as of Tuesday's close.
