Bajaj Finance AUM grows 41% to Rs 1.29 lakh crore in Q1

Mumbai: Bajaj Finance said its assets under management grew 41 per cent to Rs 1.29 lakh crore during the quarter ended June 30, 2019, after the stock tanked 8 per cent on Monday. Shares rose 5.52 per cent to Rs 3,603 on Tuesday after the company indicated that its growth is not affected by general slowdown in the economy. Sanjiv Bajaj, MD, Bajaj Finserv had on Monday warned of a slowdown in the economy in a interview to a television channel. During the first quarter of 2018, AUM grew to Rs 91,287 crore. Sequentially the company has seen 11.3 per cent in AUM to Rs 1,15,888 crore at the end of March 2019.
