The stock’s upward move followed Bajaj Auto's report of a 28% year-on-year jump in total sales, with exports emerging as a key growth engine. The strong monthly numbers also come as the stock continues its recent upward momentum.
Bajaj Auto sold a total of 5,35,764 units in August 2026, compared with 4,17,616 units in the same month last year, marking a 28% year-on-year increase.
Two-wheeler sales were particularly strong, rising 30% to 4,43,748 units from 3,41,887 units in August 2025.
The key highlight was the sharp rise in exports. While domestic two-wheeler sales increased 10% to 2,01,898 units, exports surged 53% to 2,41,850 units, underscoring the growing contribution of overseas markets to Bajaj Auto’s overall sales performance.
The company’s commercial vehicle segment also maintained healthy momentum. Commercial vehicle sales rose 22% to 92,016 units, supported by an 11% increase in domestic sales and a stronger 39% growth in exports.
Bajaj Auto’s strong performance was not limited to August. For the April-August 2026 period, the company sold 24,48,692 units, compared with 18,94,853 units during the corresponding period last year.
This represents a robust 29% year-on-year increase in year-to-date sales, indicating sustained demand across both domestic and international markets.
Bajaj Auto Share Price, Valuation and Technical Indicators
Bajaj Auto shares have already delivered a strong run in recent months, gaining around 20% over the past three months. The stock touched its 52-week high of Rs 12,470 during Tuesday’s session. Bajaj Auto currently commands a market capitalisation of approximately Rs 3,43,503 crore.From a valuation perspective, the stock is trading at a P/E ratio of 28.31, while its Price-to-Sales ratio stands at 3.9 and Price-to-Book ratio at 8.28.
On the technical front, Bajaj Auto’s 14-day RSI stands at 69.1. An RSI reading below 30 is generally considered to indicate oversold conditions, while a reading above 70 is typically viewed as overbought. With the RSI now approaching the 70 mark, investors may keep a close watch on the stock’s near-term momentum.
The technical setup remains positive, with Bajaj Auto trading above all 8 monitored simple moving averages (SMAs), indicating a broadly bullish trend.
During the June 2026 quarter, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) increased their stake in Bajaj Auto from 8.82% to 9.01%. Meanwhile, Mutual Fund holdings declined from 7.17% to 6.01% during the same quarter.
