Bajaj Auto promoters pledge 2.56 pc stake

MUMBAI: Automobile manufacturer Bajaj Auto said on Thursday that its promoters have pledged a total of 2.56 per cent stake in the company with lenders.

Baroda Industries, a promoter of the company, has pledged 1.81 lakh shares representing 0.13 per cent stake in the company on February 27, Bajaj Auto said in a disclosure to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Further, a 2.43 per cent stake has been pledged by other promoters of the company, it said. However, the automobile maker has not disclosed the name of its other promoters.

Earlier, on February 26, promoter Baroda Industries had revoked its 1.72 lakh shares amounting 0.12 per cent stake in the company from lenders, the disclosure added.

Shares of Baja Auto today settled the day at Rs 487.15, down 0.85 per cent on the BSE.
