Bain Capital sells 1.08% in Axis Bank for Rs 3,575 crore

Mumbai: Bain Capital sold a 1.08% stake in Axis Bank for ₹3,575 crore on Tuesday through an open market transaction.

According to BSE block deals data, Bain Capital sold 33.37 million shares at ₹1,071 per share on BSE. Integral Investments South Asia IV sold 8.35 million shares, while BC Asia Investments VII and BC Asia Investments offloaded about 25 million shares. Some of the buyers included Birla MF, Blackstone, BofA Sec, Mirae MF, Nippon India MF, Nomura, Norges Bank, T Rowe Price, among others.
