Baba Ramdev to announce IPOs of 5 group companies; Patanjali Foods up 2%

Shares of Patanjali Foods rose over 2 per cent in Friday's trade ahead of a press conference by Baba Ramdev where the Yoga guru will announce IPO plans for five of his Patanjali group companies.

At 10.41 am, the scrip was trading 1.94 per cent higher at Rs 1,369 over the last day’s closing of Rs 1,342.90 a piece. The stock has surged nearly 32 per cent in the last six months, while it has increased nearly 22 per cent in the last month.

For the quarter ended June 30, 2022, the company has reported a standalone total income of Rs 7,370.08 crore, up 10.39 per cent from last quarter's total income of Rs 6,676.20 crore and up 39.16 per cent from last year's same quarter total income of Rs 5,295.99 crore. The company reported a net profit after tax of Rs 241.26 crore in the latest quarter.
