Axis Bank, Maruti, Sun Pharma among most active stocks

Axis Bank had seen a turnover of Rs 112.6 crore, with the scrip falling 0.68 per cent to Rs 474.85. In the wake of disclosure of transgressions in its network, including a case in Noida which came to light on Thursday, the private sector lender said it has so far suspended 50 accounts and 24 employees for suspicious activities.
Shares of Maruti Suzuki were up 0.68 per cent at Rs 5,187. The stock had witnessed over Rs 100 crore turnover in the first hour of trade on BSE.
There were reports that the country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki will launch its latest offering premium urban compact Ignis in the Indian market on January 13. Aurobindo Pharma, Tata Motors and Bicon witnessed healthy turnover in the first hour of trade.
