AstraZeneca Pharma rallies over 12% as shareholders approve delisting

NEW DELHI: AstraZeneca Pharma India Ltd surged as much as 12.1 per cent in trade on Monday, after the company said its shareholders approved a proposal to delist the company from the bourses.

At 09:35 a.m.; AstraZeneca Pharma pared some of the intraday gains but was still trading 8 per cent higher at Rs 1198.90. It hit a low of Rs 1168 and a high of Rs 1245 in trade today.

Astra Pharmaceuticals AB, Sweden, the parent holds 75% stake in the company.
