AstraZeneca Pharma hits 52-week low as promoter likely to reduce stake

AstraZeneca slipped over 11% to hit its 52-week low on reports that its promoter has decided to reduce shareholding.

NEW DELHI: AstraZeneca Pharma India Ltd slipped over 11 per cent to hit its 52-week low of Rs 734.20 on Wednesday on reports that its promoter has decided to reduce shareholding.

At 09:25 am, AstraZeneca Pharma was trading 11 lower at Rs 736.95. It has hit a record low of Rs 734.20 and a high of Rs 798.45 in trade today.

“The promoter AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals AB Sweden has decided to reduce its shareholding in the company to meet minimum public shareholding norm,” the company said in a filing with the BSE.

The current shareholding of the promoter in the company is about 89.99 per cent.
