As many as 15 companies including Asian Paints, Bhansali Engineering, Indian Hotels, Voltas and Solar Industries among others turned ex-dividend on Friday.

Asian Paints had earlier announced a dividend of Rs 21.25 per equity share and fixed June 9 as the record date to determine the eligibility of the shareholders.

Shares of companies trade ex-dividend on the day or a day before the record date. When a company goes ex-dividend on a particular date, its stock does not carry the value of the next dividend payment.


Indian Hotels Company had earlier declared a dividend of Re 1 per equity share. The company set June 10 as the record date for the same.

Voltas, on the other hand, announced a dividend of Rs 4.25 per equity share for the financial year 2022-23. The record date for the same is fixed as June 10.

Apart from the above, Solar Industries had announced an Rs 8 per share equity dividend and National Fertilizers Rs 1.53 per share dividend. While Solar Industries fixed the record date as June 10, National Fertilizers set June 9 as the record date. Shares of both companies will trade ex-dividend today.

Nine other stocks which will trade ex-dividend include Caplin Point Laboratories, Cigniti Technologies, Dynamatic Technologies, Elecon Engineering, Elpro International, HDFC AMC, Himadri Speciality Chemical, Maruti Interior Products and NRD Bearings.

Caplin Point Laboratories declared a dividend of Rs 2 per share, and Cigniti Technologies announced a dividend of Rs 3 per share. Meanwhile, Dynamatic Technologies and Elecon Engineering will pay dividends of Rs 7 and Rs 2 per share, respectively. NRB Bearings, on the other hand, has declared a dividend of Rs 4.1 per share.
