Amid this market recovery, India’s superstar investors delivered even stronger returns. Ashish Dhawan topped the chart, with his stock portfolio swelling by nearly 40% to Rs 2,718 crore during the first quarter of FY27, according to ET Bureau, which cited data compiled by Primeinfobase.
Ashish Dhawan tops list, portfolio swells by 40%
Amid this market recovery, India’s superstar investors recorded stellar returns. Ashish Dhawan topped the chart, with his stock portfolio swelling by nearly 40% to Rs 2,718 crore during the first quarter of FY27.Religare Enterprises, M&M Financial Services and Equitas Small Finance Bank were Dhawan's top three holdings as of June 30. During the quarter, he increased his stake in Religare Enterprises, Equitas Small Finance Bank, IIFL Finance, Quess Corp and Bluspring Enterprises.
Ashish Kacholia's portfolio value rises by 39%
Ashish Kacholia followed closely, with the value of his portfolio rising by more than 39% during the April-June quarter of FY27 to Rs 1,934 crore. Shaily Engineering Plastics, Knowledge Marine and Safari Industries were the top three holdings of the celebrity investor.He notably did not increase his stake in any company during the period, according to data. In fact, he reduced his stake in Beta Drugs, Fineotex Chemical, Yasho Industries, Zaggle Prepaid Ocean Services, SG Finserve and Walchandnagar Industries.
Meanwhile, Hemendra Kothari’s portfolio increased by around 38% to Rs 6,170 crore. Alkyl Amines Chemicals, Sonata Software and EIH Associated Hotels are among his top holdings.

Vijay Kedia’s bets
Vijay Kedia’s portfolio also recorded a sharp surge in value, rising more than 36% during the quarter to Rs 1,219 crore as of June 30, 2026. He made changes to several holdings, increasing his stake in Vaibhav Global, Websol Energy System and Eimco Elecon while reducing his stake in Global Vectra Helicorp.Overall, Atul Auto, Neuland Laboratories and Elecon Engineering remained Kedia’s top three holdings as of June 30.
Akash Bhansali’s portfolio
Ace investor Akash Bhansali saw a 30% jump in the value of his portfolio during the first quarter to Rs 7,501 crore. Gujarat Fluorochemicals, Laurus Labs and Paytm-parent One97 Communications are among his top three holdings.During the first quarter, Bhansali bought more shares of Greenlam Industries, Aptus Value Housing Finance, Dilip Buildcon and Sunflag Iron & Steel. He reduced his stake in Schneider Electric Infrastructure and Welspun Living.
Mukul Agrawal saw his portfolio’s value rise by around 28% to Rs 6,029 crore, while Nemish Shah’s portfolio increased by 20%, Madhusudan Kela’s by 34%, Anil Kumar Goel’s by 17% and Radhakishan Damani’s by 11.5%.
