Ace investor Ashish Kacholia, known for spotting emerging smallcap winners, trimmed his stake in kitchen sink maker Carysil during the July-September quarter of FY27, taking his holding to 2.72% at the end of September.

Kacholia held 7.73 lakh shares, or a 2.72% stake, at the end of the quarter, down from 10 lakh shares, or 3.52%, at the end of the April-June quarter, according to Carysil’s shareholding pattern filed with the NSE.

Carysil, known for its quartz kitchen sinks, saw its share price rally around 75% from its January 52-week low of Rs 732 to a fresh 52-week high of Rs 1,281 in July. The stock has since fallen more than 22%, hitting a low of Rs 998 on Friday.

The shares have declined over 3% in a week and 14% in a month, but remain up more than 11% in 2026 so far. Over the longer term, the stock has delivered returns of around 10% in one year, 55% in three years and 36% in five years.

In April, SBI Securities included Carysil in its ‘Shining Star’ stock picks, setting a target price of Rs 1,120 per share. This implied an upside of over 24% at the time, compared with around 11% from the stock’s previous close of Rs 1,012.

The exact price at which Kacholia sold the shares and the dates of the transactions are yet to be ascertained. With shareholding disclosures still being released, further changes to his portfolio cannot be ruled out.
