Apax sells 3.88% stake in Apollo Hospitals for Rs 445 crore
Private equity firm Apax Partners today offloaded 3.88 per cent stake in health care major Apollo Hospitals Enterprise for over Rs 445 crore.

The deal comes after Apax sold a 4.59 per cent stake or 63.85 lakh shares in Apollo Hospitals earlier this month for Rs 530 crore.
According to the information with the stock exchanges, Apax Partners, which holds its stake through HSTN Acquisition (FII) sold 54 lakh shares of Apollo Hospitals.
The shares were sold on an average price of Rs 824.55 valuing the deal size at Rs 445.25 crore.
The scrips were purchased by Oppenheimer Funds Inc through open market route.
As of December quarter, Apax Partners Europe Managers Ltd held 1.34 crore shares or 9.67 per cent stake in Apollo Hospitals.
In November, foreign brokerage CLSA (Mauritius) had sold its entire 6.15 per cent stake in Apollo Hospitals for Rs 707 crore.
Shares of Apollo Hospitals grew 0.49 per cent to settle at Rs 826.05 apiece on the BSE.
