Ami Organics and Vijaya Diagnostic shine on first day out on Dalal Street

Mumbai: Ami Organics and Vijaya Diagnostic Centre made firm debuts on the bourses on Tuesday. While Ami, a Surat-based specialty chemicals maker, listed at nearly 48% premium to its IPO price, Hyderabad-based Vijaya Diagnostic Centre saw a relatively tepid opening, but the stock picked up pace later during the trading session. Ami Organics listed at Rs 902 on the BSE against its IPO price of Rs 610. The stock extended gains during the session to end up 53.2% over its IPO price at Rs 934.55.

Vijaya Diagnostic shares listed at Rs 542.30, 2% above its IPO price of Rs 531 per share. The stock ended up 16.63% over its issue price to close at Rs 619.30. Vijaya Diagnostics' IPO was subscribed 4.54 times while that of Ami Organics was subscribed 64.54 times. Both the issues were open for subscription between September 1 and September 3.
