Amara Raja Batteries slips over 5% post Q3 results

Net sales of the company rose to Rs 1,059.55 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2014, as against Rs 859.95 crore in the year-ago period, Amara Raja Batteries said.

NEW DELHI: Amara Raja Batteries Ltd slipped as much as 5.4 per cent in trade on Wednesday, even though the company posted 7.71 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 102.34 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2014.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 95.01 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2013.

At 10:05 a.m.; Amara Raja Batteries was trading 3.7 per cent lower at Rs 858. It hit a low of Rs 842.20 and a high of Rs 868 in trade today.

Net sales of the company rose to Rs 1,059.55 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2014, as against Rs 859.95 crore in the year-ago period, Amara Raja Batteries said in a filing to the BSE.
