Amagi Media Labs said it had become aware of an extortion attempt by a threat actor threatening to publish the allegedly obtained data unless a payment was made.

The company added that the relevant authorities had been notified. Based on the investigation so far, there had been no disruption to its services and no evidence of an impact on customer operations, it said.
Amagi Media Labs said it had implemented additional security measures as a precaution. The company does not expect any material financial impact at this stage and will inform the exchanges of any material developments, it added.
In a separate development, Amagi announced that NDTV had adopted its AdFlow Orchestrator to improve channel performance across free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) and connected TV (CTV) platforms.
The technology enables content owners to automatically condition and restructure SCTE-35 advertising markers for individual distribution partners. By aligning broadcast signals with streaming platform requirements, the solution aims to improve the validity and delivery of advertising opportunities and maximise monetisation.
Long commercial breaks on linear television channels can pose challenges on streaming platforms, where extended interruptions may lead to viewer drop-offs and conflict with platform-specific advertising limits.
Amagi's AdFlow Orchestrator is designed to address these challenges by adapting advertising markers to the requirements of different distribution platforms.
