Alphabet second company with India-origin CEO in trillion dollar club

Google parent Alphabet Inc. headed by Sundar Pichai hit a market cap of $1 trillion on Monday, making it the second such enterprise led by a person of Indian origin after Satya Nadella-run Microsoft. Alphabet fell back after scaling the peak during trade. Chennai-born Pichai became the head of Alphabet in December 2019, having become chief executive of Google in 2015. Nadella succeeded Steve Ballmer as the CEO of Microsoft in 2014.
