Ahluwalia Contracts promoters pledge 18.75 pc stake
Construction company Ahluwalia Contracts on Tuesday said five of its promoters have pledged 18.75 per cent stake in the company with lenders.
In a disclosure to the Bombay Stock Exchange, the company said five promoters of the company have pledged 1.17 crore shares amounting to 18.75 per cent stake in the firm.
The total number of shares held by the said promoters - Sudershan Walia, Bikramjit AhluWalia, Pushpa Rani, Raman Pal and Rampiari - amount to over 3.81 crore, of which they have pledged over 1.17 crore shares.
The company, however, did not disclose the purpose of the said share pledging.
This disclosure comes after market regulator SEBI mandated that promoters of listed firms disclose the amount of shares pledged with financial institutions.
Shares of Ahluwalia Contracts surged 4.75 per cent to Rs 32 on the BSE.
