Here's how analysts read the market pulse
"Indian equities advanced as stronger-than-expected technology earnings boosted confidence in corporate profit growth and lifted benchmark-heavy large-cap stocks. Rupee stability and easing bond yields further supported sentiment, bringing financial stocks into focus. However, with inflation near the upper end of the RBI’s tolerance band and geopolitical uncertainty keeping energy markets volatile, policymakers are likely to remain cautious on macro stability, potentially keeping the market range-bound. Still, the strong IT-led start and expectations of a decent overall Q2 corporate performance suggest the market is pricing in resilience despite a challenging external environment,” said Vinod Nair, Head of Research, Geojit Investments.
US stocks
Wall Street’s main indexes were little changed in choppy trading on Tuesday as chip stocks faced renewed selling pressure and investors assessed mixed quarterly results from major US banks.
At 10:20 a.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 9.14 points, or 0.02%, to 51,859.69. The S&P 500 fell 6.36 points, or 0.08%, to 7,800.86, while the Nasdaq Composite declined 32.52 points, or 0.12%, to 27,213.38.
