Mumbai: Successful completion of Vodafone Idea's ₹18,000-crore follow-on public offering (FPO) has triggered a re-rating of most of the Aditya Birla Group stocks, which predominantly focuses on commodities.

Since the ₹5,400-crore anchor book of Vodafone was fully subscribed last Tuesday, the group has gained $8 billion, or ₹65,000 crore, in market capitalization to ₹8.1 lakh crore on Thursday.

The group's market capitalisation surged $4.4 billion on Thursday, marking the highest-ever gain for the group in a single day.
