Adani Group companies gain Rs 50,000 crore in m-cap

Adani Group companies gained over Rs 50,000 crore in market capitalisation on Tuesday after stocks unexpectedly rose between 2% and 10%.

The group’s market cap surged to Rs 10.6 lakh crore following the run-up in the stocks.

Adani Green jumped 10%, emerging as the biggest gainer among the group companies. Adani Power gained 9.2%, while ACC, Adani Total Gas, Ambuja Cements, Adani Wilmar and NDTV rose 4-5% each.

Shares of most of the group companies have rebounded from their lows with the Gautam Adanicontrolled conglomerate selling stakes in various fi rms to lower debt. Still, the shares are down 1% to 83% from January 24, 2023, when the Hindenburg report triggered a broad-based selling in these stocks
