ADAG stocks fall by 2-6% ahead of court ruling

MUMBAI: Shares of Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group firms fell in the range of 2-6 per cent today amid concerns related to the 2G probe, even as a plea was dismissed after market hours in a Delhi Court for making Anil Ambani one of the accused in the spectrum case.

The court ruling came at about 4 pm when markets had closed for the day and the stocks had already bore the brunt ahead of the order.

Amid anticipations for the court ruling, the group's telecom arm Reliance Communications plunged by 4.11 per cent to settle at Rs 89.85 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while Reliance Broadcast Network Ltd fell by 4.36 per cent to close at Rs 67.95 a piece.

Reliance Infrastructure declined by 4.66 per cent, Reliance MediaWorks by 6.23 per cent, Reliance Power by 2.67 per cent and Reliance Capital by 2.58 per cent.

Later, the court dismissed pleas for a direction to the CBI to make Reliance ADAG chairman Anil Ambani, Tata group Chief Ratan Tata, corporate lobbyist Niira Radia and DMK chief M Karunanidhi's wife Dayalu Ammal, as accused in the 2G spectrum scam.
