Acrysil shares surge 12% on order win from IKEA

New Delhi: Shares of Acrysil zoomed over 12 per cent in Friday’s early trade after the company announced doubling its supply of Quartz kitchen sinks to IKEA supply AG, which is a part of international IKEA Group Sweden for their global requirement.

The production of kitchen sinks for IKEA will start at the end of July and the supply will begin in August.

Chirag Parekh, Chairman & Managing Director, Acrysil, said: We are pleased that IKEA has doubled their requirement of Composite Quartz Kitchen Sinks by adding new moulds following the success of the ongoing business, for their global supply. We value our strong business relationship with IKEA which will help to accelerate the growth of our Company by leveraging our strong product offerings to a wider geography.

At 10:30 am, the scrip traded at Rs 564.75 around 12 per cent above its previous close of Rs 489.15.

The share gave a 3-year return of 397.36 per cent as compared to a 34 per cent rise seen in the Nifty Smallcap 100 during the same period. Promoters held 44.04 per cent share in the company as of 31 March, DIIs held 6.24 per cent.

Acrysil is a smallcap company with a market cap of Rs 1,450 crore operating in the building materials sector.
