Sunil Singhania reshuffles Abakkus portfolios, adding six stocks and likely exiting two, amid market volatility, while the asset manager prepares for its proposed IPO.
Sunil Singhania, founder of Abakkus Asset Management and one of India's most closely watched veteran investors, has made a series of changes to his portfolio by adding 6 new stocks in the second quarter of FY27.

The additions come against a backdrop of relentless pressure, with FIIs pulling out over Rs 3 lakh crore in calendar 2026. Rising bond yields, soaring crude oil prices and tighter monetary conditions have further battered investor sentiment. The damage was so severe that, before last week’s rebound, the Nifty had fallen for eight consecutive weeks, its longest losing streak since 2001.

Here’s what Akbakkus' Q2 portfolio looks like

Shareholding data from the BSE showed that Abakkus Flexi Cap Fund acquired a 1.15% stake in Aether Industries, equivalent to 15.32 lakh shares. The stock has delivered a sharp 140% gain over the past year and has risen nearly 100% since the beginning of the year.

The market veteran has added Paramount Communications to his portfolio, picking up 3.6% stake equalling 1.19 crore shares of the company. The wire and cable manufacturer is up 44% since the beginning of the year.

Sunil Singhania has also added BEML to the portfolio through Abakkus Flexicap Fund after purchasing 9 lakh shares or 1.08% stake in the company. The defence company’s stock price is up just 14% in the last six months.

In absolute percentage terms, he has entered Dhabriya Plywood through Abakkus Venture Opportunities Fund by purchasing 5.56% of the company or 7 lakh shares. The company manufactures eco-friendly uPVC and PVC building materials, interior products, and modular furniture as a wood substitute to support tree conservation.

Anawil Wire Engineering is another addition as Sunil Singhnia picked 2.1% stake or 5.16 lakh shares in the company. The stock is up 28% in 3 months and the company manufactures tubular steel wind turbine towers and heavy precision steel components for the renewable energy and wind power industry.

Glass Wall Systems is the sixth addition in the portfolio where Singhania’s Abakkus Growth Fund picked 19 lakh shares or 2.19% stake.

Singhania, through Abakkus Flexi Cap Fund, also purchased a 0.5% stake in Heritage Foods. The stock, however, has declined 14% since the beginning of the year. Heritage Foods is one of India's leading private-sector dairy and agribusiness enterprises. Its product portfolio includes branded milk and value-added dairy products such as curd, ghee, paneer, ice cream, butter, flavoured milk and buttermilk.

Q2 exits

Abakkus Flexi Cap Fund has likely exited Cyient DLM, with its shareholding falling below the 1% disclosure threshold. Trendlyne data showed that Sunil Singhania had increased his stake in the company by 0.2% in Q1.

The potential exit comes after a sharp rally in the stock, which surged 210% over six months and gained around 140% since the beginning of the year.

TTK Healthcare is another stock that Sunil Sighania has likely exited as shareholding fell below the 1% mark. The company is a diversified Indian manufacturer and conglomerate part of the TTK Group, operating across several key business sectors such as medical and pharmaceutical products.

The market veteran has trimmed exposure in Technocraft Industries and Indogulf Cropsciences, according to Trendlyne data.

Abakkus Asset Management IPO

Last month, Abakkus Asset Management filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for going public with an IPO.

The proposed initial public offering (IPO) will comprise an Offer for Sale (OFS) of 15 million equity shares, each having a face value of Rs 2. Since the issue is entirely an OFS, the proceeds from the share sale will go to existing selling shareholders.
