According to the NSE, Dhawan bought 18 lakh shares at an average price of Rs 232 apiece on August 28 and another 16.98 lakh shares at Rs 237 apiece on August 31. Earlier shareholding data showed that Dhawan held a 5.24% stake in the company.
Per Trendlyne, Dhawan’s total stock portfolio is worth over Rs 2,500 crore. During the first quarter, the investor likely exited Equitas Small Finance Bank and marginally upped stake in IIFL Finance and Bluspring Enterprises.
Religare Enterprises Q1 results
The company, with a market cap of over Rs 8,000 crore, reported a 26% year-on-year growth in consolidated total income to Rs 2,358.43 crore in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 1,876.25 crore in Q1 FY26.Consolidated PAT stood at a loss of Rs 46.98 crore in Q1 FY27, against a profit of Rs 8.12 crore in the year-ago quarter. Care Health Insurance raised Rs 150 crore through a rights issue in June 2026, with REL subscribing to shares worth Rs 119.68 crore. Meanwhile, the broking business reported total income of Rs 99.5 crore in Q1 FY27, registering a 7% year-on-year growth.
Commenting on the company's performance, Arjun Lamba, Managing Director, Religare Enterprises Limited, said Q1 FY27 represented a quarter of deliberate and measured progress, with the company focused on building strong foundations rather than pursuing short-term headlines.
He said capital had been deployed across the group, the leadership architecture had been completed, and governance standards had been elevated to institutional levels. According to Lamba, every business is well-capitalised and ready to scale.
Q1 business highlights
Care Health Insurance Limited (CHIL) reported a 37% year-on-year increase in Gross Written Premium to Rs 3,247 crore in Q1 FY27. Profit Before Tax (PBT) rose 59% YoY to Rs 163 crore.Religare Broking Limited (RBL) reported total income of Rs 99.5 crore in Q1 FY27, marking a 7% YoY growth. Profit After Tax (PAT) increased 65% YoY to Rs 7.5 crore during the quarter.

Religare Finvest Limited (RFL) recorded total income of Rs 14.4 crore in Q1 FY27, while PAT stood at Rs 15.1 crore, supported by strong recoveries.
Religare Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited (RHDFCL) reported total income of Rs 7.4 crore in Q1 FY27, with Assets Under Management (AUM) at Rs 247 crore.
