Midcap Magic Emerges
At first glance, the market seems to have gone nowhere over the last year. The Nifty 50 remained almost flat, slipping just 0.21%. But beneath that quiet surface, a very different story was unfolding in the midcap space. The Nifty Midcap 150 delivered a solid 12% gain.
The real excitement was within the midcap index. Around 18 midcap stocks surged more than 50%, with eight of them delivering gains of 80–125%. Even more striking, four of these stocks more than doubled in value, significantly multiplying investors’ wealth in just a year. So, while the headline index appeared relatively subdued, pockets of the midcap universe were quietly creating exceptional wealth. Sometimes, the biggest market stories aren’t visible in the index, they’re hidden beneath it. (Data Source: ACE Equity)
