Buzzing stocks: Vodafone Idea, RIL, ONGC, Suzlon Energy

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea with over 20.83 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Wednesday.
Shares of Suzlon Energy (number of shares traded: 5.11 crore), ONGC (number of shares traded: 4.67 crore), RIL (number of shares traded: 2.96 crore), SBI (number of shares traded: 2.74 crore), Uttam Value Stl (number of shares traded: 2.73 crore), Tata Motors (number of shares traded: 2.49 crore), ICICI Bank (number of shares traded: 2.23 crore), Aurobindo Pharma (number of shares traded: 2.21 crore) and Vedanta (number of shares traded: 2.12 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE.

It was followed by Aurobindo Pharma (Rs 1460.90 crore), Bajaj Finance (Rs 993.65 crore), HDFC Bank (Rs 752.38 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 734.46 crore), Axis Bank (Rs 661.40 crore), IndusInd Bank (Rs 586.70 crore), SBI (Rs 502.48 crore), Bharti Airtel (Rs 445.75 crore) and Dr. Reddy's Labs (Rs 392.39 crore).
The NSE Nifty index was trading 115.25 points up at 9096.7 , while BSE Sensex was up 469.42 points at 31106.13 around 11:45AM (IST).
In the Nifty index, Zee Entertainment Enterprises (up 8.63 per cent), Reliance Industries (up 7.44 per cent), Asian Paints (up 4.10 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra (up 3.54 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp (up 3.06 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Oil And Natural Gas Corporation (down 8.36 per cent), Vedanta (down 4.91 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (down 2.58 per cent), Hindalco Industries (down 2.33 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India (down 2.06 per cent) were the top losers.
